How to compress your images
- Choose your images. Add one image or a batch. Your original files stay unchanged.
- Pick quality or a size target. Start at 80% quality, or enter the maximum KB your upload allows.
- Compare, then download. Check the result, save images individually, or download the batch as a ZIP.
Which format should I choose?
JPG works well for photos and broad compatibility. Transparent areas become white.
WebP supports transparency and often gives smaller files. Check that the destination accepts it.
PNG keeps transparent areas and sharp text. Saving it again may not make it smaller.

What if the target size can’t be reached?
The tool lowers quality to try to fit. If the file is still too large, it says so. Open File type & image size to choose smaller dimensions or another format.
Will my photo details and colors change?
Photos are turned the right way up. Camera and location details (EXIF metadata) are removed. Original color and print settings are not kept, so colors may change. JPG turns transparent areas white; PNG and WebP keep them transparent.
Which files and browsers are supported?
Use still JPG, PNG, or WebP images. Animated images, GIF, SVG, and HEIC are not supported. If your browser cannot process a file, try updating it or choosing a smaller image.
Each image can be up to 25 MB and 24 megapixels, with neither side above 16,384 pixels. Add up to 100 MB at a time. ZIP downloads support up to 64 MB of results; save larger batches individually. These limits help avoid running out of memory.
Why is the output sometimes larger?
An image may already be efficiently compressed. Re-encoding, changing formats, or retaining more detail can increase its size. Each result shows the actual difference, including increases. You can lower the quality or dimensions, choose WebP, or keep your original.
Are my images uploaded or saved by the website?
No. Your images stay on your device. The site does not upload or save them. Download the results before clearing the list or leaving the page.
