How are passwords generated?
Passwords use your browser’s secure random generator and contain at least one character from every selected group. No password is sent to a server. A longer random password is generally harder to guess, but no password alone can prevent phishing or a compromised device.
What does excluding similar characters do?
It leaves out i, l, I, L, o, O, 0, 1, and the vertical bar. This can help when typing a password from another screen.
Can I generate several passwords?
Open More options to generate up to 100 at once. Length can be 1–256 characters, but it must fit all selected character groups. These bounds keep generation and copying manageable. Your clipboard may be accessible to other apps; clear it when finished.
