Clean up text removes extra spaces and repeated blank lines while keeping paragraph breaks. Open Cleanup options to change letter case, sort or join lines, or remove duplicates. Find & replace handles repeated changes in the same pass. Check the preview before replacing your text; Undo restores the previous version.
What order are changes applied in?
Find & replace runs first. Spaces at line edges are trimmed next, followed by repeated spaces, empty lines, and duplicate lines. Sorting comes before line-break changes, then letter case. Sorting uses English alphabetical order with numbers in numeric order.
How are duplicate lines compared?
Matching is exact after the selected whitespace changes. Enable “Treat uppercase and lowercase as the same” to treat Apple and apple as the same line. The first occurrence is kept.
What does title case do?
It capitalizes the first letter of each word and lowercases the rest. It does not follow a publication style guide or preserve acronyms, so review names and abbreviations.
