Choose what the code should open, enter the details, and create it. Website codes point straight to your address. Wi-Fi codes hold the network name and password; contact codes hold a contact card.
These are static QR codes. There is no account, scan counter, or redirect service, and the code itself does not expire. A website it points to still needs to remain available.
Before you print it
Scan the code with a phone and check the destination. Keep the clear border and use a dark pattern on a light background. Shorter links and less text make simpler patterns that are easier to scan.
PNG works for documents and everyday sharing. SVG stays sharp at any size and is a good choice for a print layout. Test a printed sample at the size and distance people will use it.
Can I add a logo or change the design?
Open Design & logo for dots, rounded patterns, corner shapes, and a center image. Colors & download settings adds gradients, transparency, borders, and PNG sizes up to 4,096 pixels. SVG includes your logo, so it travels with the file; the QR pattern stays vector, while the logo is a small embedded PNG.
Does the scan check guarantee it will work everywhere?
No. The tool checks that a local scanner reads the intended details from the finished image. Printed size, lighting, cameras, and the background behind a transparent code can change the result. Always test the final layout with a phone. Keep the full clear border around it.
Can I change the details after downloading?
The details are part of the image and cannot be edited after it is created. Make a new code when a URL, Wi-Fi password, or contact detail changes. If you control the page at a website address, you can update that page without changing the code.
Will every phone open each QR type?
Most current phone cameras recognize website links. Wi-Fi, contacts, email, and text messages depend on the phone and scanner app. A scan may show details or ask permission before opening an app; it does not send an email or message automatically.
Are the details private?
Your input is processed in this browser and is not uploaded or saved here. Anyone who receives the QR image can read what it contains, including a Wi-Fi password. A QR code is not encryption.
Why can’t I use a faint color or a very long message?
Low contrast makes codes harder to scan. This tool requires a darker pattern and a lighter background, and keeps a clear border. Text is limited to 2,000 bytes; long messages or higher damage recovery can reach the QR format’s capacity sooner. For lengthy content, link to a page instead.
